Question/Issue
I would like to know what 'Content ID (CID)' means and what value should be entered when packaging content.
Short Description
CID means a unique ID for managing encryption key and DRM license for specific content, and can be entered as an arbitrary value by the customer at the time of packaging. After that, you will need to enter the same CID value for custom data such as license token used when requesting a DRM license for that content from a DRM client.
When contents are managed through the Content Management System (CMS), the ID value issued by the CMS for the content is generally used as the CID.
The value that can be entered as CID is a string consisting of up to 200 bytes of alphabets, numbers, '-' (hyphen/dash), and '_' (underscore). CID value is not case-sensitive, so 'CID1', 'Cid1, 'cid1' and so on are all considered the same value.
